Mature cystic teratoma
Pesakit wanita berumur 22 tahun, mengalami sakit perut yang teruk secara tiba-tiba. Ujian kehamilan negatif.
Jenis pembedahan: Sistektomi ovari kiri
Diagnosis: Mature cystic teratoma (Teratoma sista matang)
Status: Pesakit dalam keadaan baik selepas pembedahan dan dibenarkan pulang.

Collections of endometrial glands and stroma are seen embedded within the myometrium.
Adenomyosis
Sejenis ketumbuhan bukan kanser. Ia berlaku apabila tisu yang biasanya melapisi rahim (tisu endometrium) tumbuh ke dalam dinding otot rahim. Tisu yang disesarkan terus bertindak seperti biasa — menebal, pecah dan berdarah — semasa setiap kitaran haid. Pesakit biasanya akan mengalami sakit (senggugut)setiap kali berlaku kitaran haid
The exhibit displays ovarian cystic mass. It show multivacuolation and septation. The wall is thin with no solid area or papillary structure.
Mucinous cystadenoma shows simple cyst wall lined by mucinous producing cells. The cells with basally located nuclei with apical mucin.

The exhibit displays uterus with foci areas of trabeculation within the myometrium. Sometimes cystically dilated endometrial gland may be visible grossly. Adenomyosis is the presence of benign endometrium composed of both glands and adjacent stroma within the myometrium.
Adenomyosis is non neoplastic lesion in the myometrium characterized by the presence of endometrial glands and adjacent stroma.
Adenomyosis
The exhibit displays a cystic mass with multiloculation and septation. The wall is thin, however there is thick areas with foci of simple papillary structure project into the lumen. Cystadenoma exhibit smooth outer and inner surface.
Serous cystadenoma show fibrocollagenous wall lined by single layer non stratified cuboidal to columnar bland tubal epithelium. Epithelial proliferation should be less than 10%.

Penerangan kasar: Spesimen menunjukkan ketumbuhan dalam rupa bentuk seperti kantung/sistika yang mempunyai dinding yang memisahkan dan membentuk beberapa ruang. Dinding ketumbuhan sistika ini nipis. Terdapat kawasan dinding yang tebal dan juga mempunyai unjuran dalam bentuk papilari.
