GROSS DESCRIPTION
The exhibit displays well circumscribed tumour with a uniform glistening yellow to pale-tan cut surface. Superficial lipoma are typically <5cm, whereas deep seated may reach up to 20cm.
HISTOPATHOLOGY DESCRIPTION
Lipoma is composed of lobules of mature adipocytes separated by thin fibrous septae. These adipocytes exhibit large univacuolated cytoplasm with nuclei pushed to the periphery. No atypical stromal cell or immature adipocytes observed.
Fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) shows non-amplified MDM2 gene.

Jenis pembedahan: Pemotongan/eksisi tumor
Diagnosis: Lipoma (tumor daripada sel lemak, bukan kanser)
Status: Pesakit telah sihat sepenuhnya
Penerangan kasar: Spesimen menunjukkan ketumbuhan benigna iaitu ketumbuhan yang tidak agresif dan tidak merebak ke bahagian tubuh yang lain. Ketumbuhan ini mempunyai permukaan yang berwarna kekuningan seperti tisu lemak normal. Biasanya saiz lipoma adalah kurang dari 5cm. Sesetengah lipoma yang terletak di bahagian dalam tisu atau daging boleh memcapai sehingga 20cm.
Penerangan histopatologi: Di bawah mikroskop, lipoma terdiri daripada sel lemak yang matang dimana hanya terdapat univacuolated sitoplasma dengan nukleus kecil terletak di tepi sel.

GROSS DESCRIPTION
The exhibit displays ill defined large destructive tumour over proximal part of the tibia involving the epiphysis and metaphysis. The tumour is infiltrative, destroying the overlying cortex and extending into the surrounding soft tissue. It exhibit heterogenous tan to brown mass.
HISTOPATHOLOGY DESCRIPTION
Osteosarcoma shows malignant osteoid deposited in a lace like pattern or as delicate trabeculae. The malignant cells are pleomorphic with irregular hyperchromatic nuclei and high mitotic activity.
