The exhibit displays thyroid with presence of well encapsulated pale to tan solid lesion. In this case the tumor can only be distinguished from adenoma by histopathology examination as no overt evidence of capsular breach or infiltrative border can be appreciated here.

The thyroid shows well circumscribed and thick encapsulated fibrous septae composed of small to medium sized of thyroid follicles different from surrounding tissue. In areas, vascular and capsular invasion also seen.
