The exhibit displays large intradermal tumour. It shows fairly well circumscribed border with tan surface. The overlying skin shows ulceration.

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberance shows intradermal spindle cell lesion arranged in storiform to whorled pattern, with some area infiltrate the fat tissue. The cells exhibit monomorphic nuclei and ovoid to elongated with abundant and eosinophilic cytoplasm. Mitotic activity is seen.
