The exhibit displays massive tumour with uniform tan appearance. Areas of hemorrhage can be seen. Neurofibroma most often glistening, mucoid and translucent.

Neurofibroma is composed of non-encapsulated proliferation of spindle cell lesion. They are loosely arranged, having bland oval elongated wavy nuclei and scant cytoplasm. Entrapped hypertrophic nerve bundles also seen. No mitosis, Verocay bodies or evidence of malignancy seen.

Penerangan histopatologi: Neurofibroma terdiri daripada sel-sel bujur dan panjang yang beralun seakan akan menyerupai sel selaput saraf/schwaan cell. Fibroblast dan mast cell juga sebahagian daripada komponen neurofibroma.
