Head and neck pathology is a diverse field, focusing on pathology of the ear, salivary gland, oral cavity, sinonasal tract, temporal bone as well as larynx, hypopharynx and neck.

Section shows malignant epithelial cells arranged in small cluster and nest. The cells are moderate to markedly pleomorphic, round to oval nuclei, vesicular to hyperchromatic, and moderate amount of eosinophilic cytoplasm. The stroma is desmoplastic. Numerous mitosis seen including atypical form. Keratin pearl and individual keratinization seen. Intercellular bridges identified.
Squamous cell carcinoma
