Gross description
The exhibit displays hundreds of polyps carpeting the mucosa of the colon. They vary in size from small, sessile polyps to large, spherical, and pedunculated ones.
HISPATHOLOGY DESCRIPTION
Polyps in familial adenomatous polyposis have same architecture as their sporadic counterpart. Most are tubular adenoma or less frequently villous or tubulovillous.
